“5 Y superando lo que esperábamos, se dieron primeramente ellos mismos al Señor y a nosotros, por la voluntad de Dios.”
Nota: El texto que nos ocupa en esta noche nos enseña que el Reino de Dios se extiende a través de la pasión, el compromiso, preocupación y la firmeza de los creyentes, en su interés de ayudar a otros. Aquí Pablo elogió el compromiso incondicional de las iglesias de Macedonia y Filipos quienes se unieron para ayudar a otras iglesias, más allá de sus entornos y capacidades económicas. Y, por ende, presenta un modelo digno de ser emulado por todas las iglesias. Es sobre este modelo que estaremos elaborando nuestro estudio en esta noche.

Text: 2 Corinthians 8:5
“5 And exceeding what we expected, they first gave themselves to the Lord and to us, by the will of God.”
Note: The text that concerns us tonight teaches us that the Kingdom of God is extended through the passion, commitment, concern, and firmness of believers, in their interest in helping others. Here Paul praises the unconditional commitment of the Macedonian and Philippian churches who came together to help other churches, regardless of their environments and economic capabilities. And, therefore, it presents a model worthy of being emulated by all the churches. It is on this model that we will be developing our study tonight.

Definitions of Passion and Commitment
